Chicken review by Jasmine
The chicken was cooked perfectly! It was crispy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside. The slaw that tops the sandwich was absolutely delicious. I will be back to try another menu item soon!
Double Cut Pork Chop review by Tstaniscia63
Oh my. What a lovely place to celebrate a 35th wedding anniversary! It was our first visit to the Salt Line.My husband and I ordered drinks, the Grazing Board, brussel sprouts appetizer, wine, the lamb shanks dinner, double cut pork chop, banana parfait and espressos. The food was well-prepared, hot where necessary, balanced in flavor profiles, and aesthetically pleasing. The waitstaff was lovely and attentive but not overbearing. We thought the price was fair for what was served and the ambience the restaurant provides. It's nice to have a restaurant that offers something a little different than the requisite pizza and burgers places. We will be back!
Overnight Oats review by Patricia
Perfect breakfast of overnight oats and coffee. Wonderful atmosphere and gracious service. Couldn't have been better.
Rigatoni al Bolognese review by Indra Ong
Dined at Salt Line last week and tried the Rigatoni al Bolognese. It is a beautifully balanced dish that speaks to the restaurant's commitment to freshness and craftsmanship. The housemade rigatoni was perfectly al dente, and captured the rich, slow-cooked ragu of beef, pork, and veal in every bite. Fresh herbs and a touch of Parmesan brought brightness and depth, and elevated traditional comfort into something refined. The Salt Line's emphasis on quality ingredients and honest, thoughtfully prepared food makes it a must-try the next time you're in the Vassar area.
Arlington Burger review by Eileenfinnerty
Delicious burger cooked to perfection. The fries were outstanding! Great place for a meal.
Burrata review by Deleisa
The Salt Line was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I've had recently. What stood out most was the food—thoughtfully composed dishes with great flavor and quality ingredients. Roasted Garlic Hummus: the hummus was a masterclass in texture and balance. What immediately stood out was its consistency—silky and smooth without being overly whipped, rich without feeling heavy. It avoided the two pitfalls that often hold hummus back: it wasn't grainy, and it wasn't soupy. Instead, it struck that perfect middle ground, creating a luxurious texture that carried every flavor beautifully. Paired with the warm pita and accompaniments, it became one of those deceptively simple dishes that showcases real attention to detail. In a meal filled with standout plates, this was the dish that surprised me most and reminded me that great cooking isn't always about complexity—sometimes it's about executing the fundamentals exceptionally well Branzino Fillet: What I loved most about the branzino was what the kitchen didn't do. Instead of masking the fish with excessive seasoning, they let its natural flavor shine. Too often, delicate fish gets buried under aggressive seasoning or heavy sauces, but this preparation allowed the natural flavor of the branzino to take center stage. The fish was tender, clean-tasting, and expertly cooked, with just enough seasoning to enhance rather than overpower. A prime example that great ingredients aren't meant to be hidden, they just need to be respected. Burrata: 10/10! I came for dinner but this is the dish I'm still thinking about. The seasonal burrata COMPLETELY won me over. I expected the usual watermelon pairing, but The Salt Line's use of sweet cantaloupe was such a thoughtful twist. Combined with creamy burrata, golden raisins, and thinly sliced pickled Fresno chilies, every bite was balanced with sweetness, richness, and just the right touch of heat. The pickled Fresno chilis provided just enough acidity and heat to keep the flavors lively, and the agrodolce added a beautiful sweet-tart finish that lingered pleasantly on the palate. This was the plate that kept revealing new flavors with every bite and left me wishing it had been twice the size.
Roasted Garlic Hummus review by Mark T
The service and food were amazing. We fell in love with the seed (cracker) that was made on premises. If you sold this item, we would buy it. The Roasted Garlic Hummus and the veggies that accompanied it were delicious. We will definitely be back!
Bucatini review by Susan
It was a dark and stormy night during the Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, My friend and had just returned from The Philadelphia Flower Show. I had the Bucatini. First, It was not what I expected. That being said, It was delicious. The serving size was perfect for me. And since it was Restaurant week, it was preceded by salad and followed by dessert. The dessert was tahini creme brûlée, also very good. The flavor was very good and the brûlée was perfectly brittle. Our server was personable and attentive. Overall it was an exceptional Experience.
